Adopt a Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (short coat)

Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Puma the Dog needs a home

Puma is one of those strong, independent types. He enjoys exploring and has an investigative nature. Puma is sweet with people and older dogs, and a little bossy with the younger pups.

He will offer an alert bark to let you know if someone’s approaching the house, and is quiet and content in his crate when needed. He’s got a noticeable drive and intensity to him that would be put to great use in obedience or agility classes. He would also make a good running buddy once he’s a few months older.

In his foster home, he’s learning good puppy manners, dog-dog socialization, and getting used to new, exciting environments. Originally bred to herd feral pigs and cattle, Catahoula Leopard dogs have very strong personalities and lots of energy. Working dogs by nature, these guys do best in a home where they’ll get daily exercise and mental stimulation. Puma is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and ready to add light to your life as a new companion. My Foster family has been working on my training and we educate on how the best way to train me when you come meet me.
.

Puma's adoption fee is $350 and includes his neuter, vaccinations and micro-chipping. If you are interested in meeting Puma, please start with filling out an application to begin the adoption process. A foster coordinator will be in touch with you within 48 hours.
